Born in Berlin, Ben Klock is undoubtedly one of the most significant artists in the contemporary history of techno.
Resident of the Berghain since its opening in 2004, has been able to impressively characterize the sound of the most influential club in the world, becoming a symbol of the modern Berlin Techno movement. This close relationship with the renowned Club has been the background to his success, allowing him to become one of the most requested Dj-producers of this generation. He has produced labels such as Bpitch Control and Ostgut Ton, as well as having founded his own label Klockworks and remixed artists such as Depeche Mode, Kerry Chandler, Martyn and Telefon Tel Aviv. In 2009 released the album ‘One’, acclaimed by the public and critics, is considered among the most interesting works as it captures the best of Klock’s talent as a producer. Even today, this record is a fundamental point of reference for Techno music. Other works of particular note are ‘Subzero’, taken from his ‘Before One’ EP, and ‘Berghain04’, a compilation mixed for Ostgut Ton. In his sets he is able to harmonize the austerity of industrial sound with a natural musicality typical of the detroitiano sound, a mixture made homogeneous and uniform thanks to the use of hypnotic and deep grooves; witness the eight-hour marathons that see him protagonist at the Berghain once a month and that envelop the viewer in a unique show. Ben has an innate ability to adapt his music to circumstances, a skill that is found both on large stages of festivals and in small clubs around the world.
